Carmel Sprinkles

Challenge Overview:  A referral from a previous client, these clients came to us for help remodeling their outdated galley style kitchen at their summer lake house. There’s a pantry that separates the space into 2 zones, so ensuring everything flowed was a must. There are a lot of doors that draw your eye first, so making the kitchen shine was imperative. In addition to a bright aesthetic upgrade- more storage, convenience items, a locker area, a dry bar, and new flooring throughout the entire first floor, were all part of their wish list.

Process Overview: This couple had a good idea of what their style was, so selecting finishes and materials was a breeze. The next step was a measure of their home, and then a review of their new floorplan. The first plan was approved, and we ordered promptly!

Customized Solution: We decided to play on the zone separation and turned the first section of the kitchen into the locker area and dry bar. This created a nice landing space to sit down, place your shoes, hang up your coat, and make a drink. After walking past this zone, the real kitchen started which boasts floor to ceiling cabinetry, white marbled quartz, a fun backsplash tile to brighten things up (and a stunning view of the lake). We replaced all of the closet doors with new white ones and created a doorway to another area, which really helped open things up and give the kitchen a bright airy feel.

Thoughts from the Client:  We had been shopping for almost a year and had not found the right company or person that we felt would be a good fit to plan and oversee the renovation of our kitchen and entryway on our second home.

We were looking for someone we could trust to not only provide design but also collaboration, experience and creativity. We were fortunate to have received a referral for Cabinetry by Better Bilt from a co-worker. Alex was our designer and really listened to what we wanted and worked within our budget to create an updated, beautiful kitchen and bar that we are thrilled with. Alex’s help with material selection really made the process seamless and stress free for me as I do get overwhelmed when given too many choices.

We really lucked out with our installer Nick, it was clear he had experience, was reliable and really cared about customer satisfaction. He completed the install and build with the utmost attention to detail. The quality of cabinetry and hardware is top notch as were all the installers and sub-contractors that were used from flooring, counters and painters to complete our project.

We are enjoying our new kitchen/bar and are already looking forward to our next project with Alex and Cabinetry by Better Bilt!
